Ramisera Wilds – Boutique resort in Uttaraknad
Ramisera Wilds is a boutique resort project in Ramisera, Uttarakhand, in the Kalagarh Tiger Reserve forest area with a focus on the natural beauty and surroundings and an experiential stay to observe wild life. Our response to such eco-sensitive site was a structure with minimum on-site interference and eco-friendly principles.
Ramisera Wilds Resort by Blurring Boundaries, resort architects in India, blends eco-friendly, sustainable design with minimal site impact with prefab A-frame.
Architectural design
The structure is an A-frame rest house, designed by resort architects in India as a modern ode to traditional British rest houses, featuring a contemporary verandah. The metal fabricated structure has been welded on site and is covered using insulated pre-fabricated sandwich panels.
The view and direction of the glass facades face the south and north, protecting the cottage from direct sunlight during the intense western and eastern sun exposure, ensuring a cooler internal environment.
The internal space is kept simple with a coloured oxide floor, enhancing the spaciousness of the cottage and adding a vibrant touch to the interior. The roof panels are intentionally left exposed, accentuating the height and volume of the space.
