Community Centre Wada is a regenerative rural project that brings together natural building, farming, local craftsmanship and shared learning within a forest-edge landscape.
Context
Bordering a reserved forest in Wada, the site began as underused farmland with a few mature native trees and an existing rural ecosystem. The project was conceived not simply as a community building, but as a shared platform where local knowledge of farming, construction and craft could meet urban participation and contemporary design. The larger landscape is intended to remain predominantly open and productive, with food forests, community farms, nature trails, ponds and native planting forming the setting for gathering, workshops, training and ecological learning.
